FOR BOTH WORKSPACES

Review, approve, and export recorded hours

Follow the correction history and prepare an approved-time export for your next step.

01

Review a week

  1. Open Our firm or Team timesheets, then Team calendar and choose the week. Open a person's timesheet to inspect the daily entries, notes, client attribution, and total hours.
  2. Approve week when the submitted hours are ready. Return for correction when something needs changing, with a reason the person can act on.
  3. Returning or reopening a timesheet also queues a correction email for the person. The confirmation shows the address. If they have no email address or are inactive, no email is queued; contact them directly. A queued email is awaiting delivery.
  4. Reviewers cannot approve their own hours. An owner or administrator can explicitly confirm self-approval; this is recorded in history.
02

Correct approved time

Reopen for correction requires a reason and retains the earlier approval. The week immediately stops appearing in approved-only reports and exports until it is resubmitted and approved again.

History records who recorded, corrected, submitted, approved, or reopened the time. Corrections retain the old and new entry details.

Create a report or export

  1. In Our firm or Team timesheets, open Reports and choose the date range, person, client, status, and billable filter. Search notes, people, or clients when needed. My time history shows and exports only your own hours.
  2. Hours over time shows billable and non-billable hours by day, week, or month. Client and person charts use all matching entries, including other table pages. Select a period or comparison row to inspect its records, then use Back to totals to restore your report. My time only charts your own hours.
  3. Choose Export, then Matching time entries or Approved time only. The export includes all matching pages, in the selected order.
  4. Choose Excel, CSV, or PDF, review the preview and columns, then download. Durations include whole minutes and readable hour and minute labels.

Understand what the figures mean

Recorded hours and billable hours are separate from approved hours. Cost and billable-value estimates use the private rate saved on each entry; missing rates are called out rather than treated as known zero rates.

An approved-time export supports a payroll or billing handoff. It does not run payroll, calculate payroll taxes or overtime, send an invoice, or move money.
