Open your own timesheet
Open My time from the sidebar to see your own time in a weekly or monthly calendar. Use Previous and Next to browse past time. Add time records hours, and More actions includes timer controls, approval history, and exports.
Select an entry to inspect or edit it, or select a day to see all its entries and add time for that date. When timesheet approval is enabled, week view shows your submission status and Submit week action. Choose Review week from More actions for totals by client and day. With approval enabled, submitted and approved entries cannot be edited until the week is withdrawn or returned for correction. Time already included on an invoice is protected from edits in either mode.
My time appears when your login is linked to an active person in Settings → Team. If it is missing, ask an owner or administrator to link you. Timesheets-only accounts can open My time while waiting for an assignment. Viewers can read assigned time but cannot record or submit hours.
If you belong to more than one team, use Your team to choose whose timesheet you are filling in. It only lists teams where your login is linked to an active person record. Choose client work within the time entry.
For a bookkeeping practice, Our firm holds all time for your employees and contractors, including client work and internal work. Working for a client keeps the hours on the same firm timesheet.
Record the work
- Choose a week. Use Add time for one entry or Add week for several days for the same client.
- Enter hours and minutes as 1:30 for one hour and thirty minutes. Choose a client, add a useful note, and mark billable time when appropriate.
- For firm time, Client lists your clients plus Internal work. The same choices appear in Add time, Add week, and Start timer. Billable time means work you intend to charge a customer for; it does not determine the worker's pay.
- Save. Add week adds new entries to any time already recorded; it does not replace existing hours.
- To correct an entry, open Edit and explain the change. Its previous details remain in the timesheet history.
Use the timer
Start timer records your own work. It continues when you navigate away, close the tab, or sign out. Only one timer can run for your login.
Your timer stays in the workspace header on every dashboard page. Select the elapsed time to open My time, or open the arrow beside it for Pause, Resume, and Stop and save. Alt + Shift + T opens these controls when you are not typing in a field.
Pause for a break and Resume when you return. Break time is excluded, including after a refresh or in another browser tab. Stop and save records the active time, rounded up to a whole minute per day. Overnight work is split at midnight in the company time zone.
If you left the timer running, open My time, then More actions beside Add time, and choose Review or stop timer. Enter the actual stop time. A continuous running period longer than 24 hours requires a corrected stop time.
Discard timer removes the running timer without recording hours and keeps a reason in history. It does not remove an existing time entry.
Finish your week
Submit week locks the entries for review. While the sheet is awaiting approval, you can withdraw it to make changes and submit again.
A returned sheet includes a correction reason. Update the hours, then submit it again. Approved sheets need a reviewer to reopen them before they can change.
When a reviewer requests corrections, Clawrk queues an email with the week and reason to your saved email address. If you can record time, open My time to make the changes. Otherwise, reply to the reviewer with your corrections.
Your workspace opens in a new tab.
