FOR BOTH WORKSPACES

Track a payment promise

Record an agreed amount and date without changing the invoice balance.

01

Record the agreement

Open the invoice and use Record promise to save the amount the customer agreed to pay and the agreed date. A promise may cover part or all of the outstanding balance.

The promise date does not replace the original invoice due date. A promise is an agreement, not cash received.

02

Review promises together

Use Promises to see active agreements and the next dates to review. Reminders are held while an active promise requires waiting. Check the latest accounting balance and conversation when a promise needs attention.

03

When money arrives

For a manual ledger, record the cash payment in Clawrk. For connected invoices, record the payment in QuickBooks and sync. Reports separate recorded cash from promises and credits.
